After months & months of rain, we finally had our first completely rain free weekend. Don't get me wrong, there's been plenty of moments of sunshine, but there hasn't been an entire weekend without precipitation of some kind all year. You'd think we lived in the PNW, not the Northeast. So how did we spend our first completely sunshiney weekend? Out on the water, of course.
The jet ski finally went into the water.
There were some lazy moments in the sun swinging
and of course some fishing.
For those of you concerned that CG has no clothes, he just has about a dozen grey tank tops, and several red basketball shorts. What can I say, he likes the familiar.
CG & SB built a bat house for my FIL for Father's Day. If any bats move in, they should help with the helicopter sized mosquitos up at the cottage. We only have some pics of the building process, but I'll try to see if I can put together a post on it.
The wave petunias are loving the sun, too. The local nursery had these in good sized pots for 4/$10 so we snagged a couple to bring home for our front garden.
Thanks for popping in and enjoying the sun with us.
It looks like you had such a nice weekend!! And look at you, hot Momma - all tan and posing on the back of that boat! :) You know I can rarely wear white as I have a tendency to mess it up within 5 minutes...
ReplyDeleteThose were very kind words. Deep down inside we've each got a little bit of Princess Di.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful petunias, love the colors. What a fun time you were having!..Christine
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fun time was had by all! Love the flowers. Hugs, Ginger
ReplyDeleteAbout the bat house. Bats only move into places where other bats have already lived. The best way to get bats to move into a new house, is to put some bat poop in there. Seriously. If you know a farmer who has bats living in the top of a barn, you might be able to get some from them. Otherwise, lawn and garden places, as well as tractor and feed type places, often sell it. It's worth the cost to have bats not mosquitoes!!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like everyone had a fun weekend. I haven't been fishing in years.. and I live on a fishing lake! Need to get out that reel.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting on the Safari Nursery!
