GF Pizzelles

I'm always excited when I find new stuff at the grocery store to bring home and try, like when I tried out kelp noodles here.  But nothing's more exciting for this mom of a gluten-free kid than when I find a whole new endcap of products in the gluten-free section of the store.  There were literally a half a dozen new products, but the one that got me most excited were the pizzelles.  I love pizzelles, but don't own a pizzelle maker, or pizzelle irons for my waffle maker.  I've gone without for close to 3 years, but there they were.(Cue the angels singing.)

They come in a traditional anise, which I'll grab come holiday time, but I figured vanilla would be more palatable for WD.  The brand is Bella Lucia, and they are delicious.  I'm embarassed to say how many I filched from the package already.  So very, very good.  I had an italian grammy(our city neighbors, but we considered them grandparents,) and I can still say that these pizzelles are terrific.  If your grocery doesn't carry them, let them know that they should.

Thanks for popping in and snacking with me.  I'm linking this up to Gluten-Free Homemaker's Gluten-Free Wednesdays.
