Mini Spruce Up

I know it's late in the day, but Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!  CG is a world class dad and one of the things he's called in our home is "Lord of the Flame."  Whether it's cooking over a campfire or at home on the grill, he loves to cook with fire.  Unfortunately his grill was looking a little sad.

There was even a bit of rust going on.

A new grill was definitely not in our budget, and really ours works great, so along with the gift from the kids(a new electric razor) he got a spruced up grill from me.  I scrubbed the grill down, sanded off the rust spots, and bought some Rustoleum high-heat spray paint.

I taped off the granite and stainless steel parts and sprayed on several coats.

Voila!  Brand new looking grill.

Thanks for popping in and checking out this quick spruce up.  I'm linking this up to Between Naps on the Porch's Metamormhosis Monday.

  17. Great job! You did it up right by taping off all the parts you didn't want to get paint on...that looks like it was a job in itself. I know your hubs was happy.
